If you’ve ever seen those colorful 3D optical illusion books by Magic Eye this text optical illusion works just the same way. Stare at the picture until a 3D image pops out from the rest of the picture. It might help to try and blur your vision or cross your eyes a little to see the 3D effect. The famous internet phenomenon Rick Astley and the rickroll prank has now become an optical illusion. Look at the black and white abstract picture below and stare at the plus sign in the middle of the picture for 30 seconds or longer. After 30 seconds look away and blink fast repeatedly.
This is a really cool variation of the disappearing dots optical illusion. Follow the movement of the rotating pink dot with your eyes and then stare at the black plus sign in the center of the image. The pink dots should turn to green dots. Now keep staring at the plus sign in the center again, and after a short time all the pink dots should disappear and all you will see is a rotating green dot!
In the illusion below if you stare at the brown center it should look like the brown area is expanding. If you move your eyes back and forth between the area where the brown meets the yellow depending on where your looking it will appear that the brown area is expanding and contracting.
Stare at the black dot in the center and the blue, magenta, and yellow spots around the black dot will begin to disappear. Did it work? If not you might want to move your head closer to the image.

Stare at the center of circle at the blue ball and move your head forward and back from your computer screen. Do you see parts of the circle rotating? Just staring at the circle without moving your head makes it seem like parts of the circle is blinking.
